Jim Labbe

Internal Governance Project Manager

Jim has a life-long passion for activating municipal and regional democracy for people and the planet. His work has broadly focused on community-based organizing and advocacy around natural resource conservation in Oregon. Over the last 25 years, he has worked for Applegate Partnership, Audubon Society of Portland, and Depave. Jim graduated from Reed College in 1995 and received a Masters in Geography from PSU in 2002. Jim has research interests and professional publications that span history, regional equity, urban forestry, and watershed science and management. Jim grew up in Oregon and currently lives with his family in North Portland where he enjoys tinkering with his eco-roof, birding, bicycling, dancing tango, and trying to learn the Russian language.
