About the Event

Participatory Budgeting Oregon, Next Up, and Community Budgeting for All invite you to attend this summit and engage with participatory budgeting advocates and practitioners, community members, youth leaders, and other change agents working to shift the who and how of public budgeting and the allocation of public resources. This summit prioritizes relationship-building and uses popular education to immerse attendees in a dynamic learning environment.

Learn more about how our work is making Oregon’s democracy more participatory and just. Find other allies and partners to accomplish personal and collective goals in your community and learn how to get more involved in participatory budgeting efforts in Portland and beyond. With Portland city government undergoing transformation and the community demanding accountability, transparency, and equity in government decisions, this summit will provide a space for crafting actionable community-driven solutions.

This summit is brought to you by Participatory Budgeting Oregon, Next Up, and Community Budgeting for All with venue hosts Oregon’s Kitchen Table making a space at Portland State University possible. Thank you to our champion sponsor East County Rising and grassroots sponsor Splendid Cycles.
